garden theme

A garden themed wedding with the cutest idea for table numbers. Loving the little stakes in the numbered pots with the guests names on them.

royal wedding

I so enjoyed the royal wedding. I set my DVR that night but I turned on the TV right before I went to bed and got hooked. All of a sudden I wanted to watch it live and I managed to stay awake until Kate and William rode away in the carriage. Kate looked so beautiful in her dress. I loved the the simplicity and modesty of it while still looking exquisite. Could not believe she did her own make-up! I also loved the way she had her sister as her maid of honor and the little ones as bridesmaids. The church service brought back so many memories too as it was similar to the service we had in the Episcopal church I grew up in. One cute story I heard on TV about when Kate was deciding which college she would attend. She had her college picked out and her mom asked her “don't you want to go to the college Prince William is attending”. She eventually decided to take her mom's advice. Crazy that they then met there and ended up marrying. I bet her mom was pretty shocked when her advice turned out to be so right!

lollipop numbers

I love these lollipop numbers. They were used to escort guests to their tables but I would love to use them to put in a cake at birthdays.

cake topper

I love this adorable crocheted cake topper from project wedding. What's great about it is how easy it is. Speaking of weddings we have another one coming up in the family soon. My niece is getting married Dec. 18. I ordered a cake for her bridal shower today from the same place I got Noah's 2nd birthday cake. I found a place near us that will make a 1 tier round cake for such a great price. With expensive places I have used in the past I just give them an idea I want and they make an amazing cake. Here I have to find a design I like and tell them how I want it. It is a little scarier then the expensive places but worth the massive price savings. When I saw how cute Noah's was I was glad I gave it a try. Praying Kendra's comes out as cute as his did!

If you love the outdoors, how perfect is this wedding via Once Wed. Such cute details, especially the Save the Date card. The talented Bride and Groom did most of the wedding themselves. Amazing!

bridesmaids cards

This is the cutest idea from Anna Bond of Rifle Design via Once Wed. She made little paper cutouts and decorated them like each of her bridesmaids and put their name on it. She then put them in an envelope with a note saying "Will you be my bridesmaid?" What a unique idea!

tea length wedding dresses

Lately I have been loving tea length wedding dresses. If I got married all over again I would love to wear a tea length wedding dress. Since I am petite I love this style as I have always felt long dresses overwhelm me. These are 3 of my favorites. The 1st photo is a beautiful fashion shoot from Jeremy Harwell via Style Me Pretty. The 2nd one is from Martha Stewart Weddings. The 3rd is a gorgeous vintage 1950's dress from Vogue via A Practical Wedding.

my girls

My younger daughter got married before I started this blog so I never posted about her wedding. Since I love weddings I thought I would put a few things on here now and then that I loved from her wedding. This is one of my favorite pictures of my daughters with Brittany in her wedding dress and Danielle in the bridesmaid dress. She wanted a short length for the bridesmaid dresses and a silver gray color. We loved the look of it next to the white and with the pink peonies to set it off. Brittany tried quite a few wedding dresses on but the minute she put this one on we all fell in love!

chloe & reese

I love the short length of these bridesmaids dresses. This new line from Chloe & Reese is especially cute and they come in a variety of colors. My daughter ended up choosing a short length for her bridesmaid dresses from White & Black and we were so happy with the way it looked on her wedding day.

"laundry theme" wedding shoot

I can't get over how amazing this wedding shoot is via Style Me Pretty. What gorgeous photographs by Justin & Mary Marantz. Laundry is really an out of the box theme for a wedding photo shoot but they explain on their blog how it came about. How cute is the lavender bridesmaid dress from The White Dress By The Shore. One of my favorites ever! You will want to see the rest of the photos and how they put it all together here.
